MRA Racers Tear Up Pueblo Track
Submitted by theboss on Thu, 10/14/2010 - 9:07am.Round 7 of the local MRA races was held at Pueblo Motorsports Park on September 18 & 19 under beautiful weather conditions. This was the penultimate race of the 2010 season and fierce point battles were waged in every class.
Especially good action was seen in the main event—the Race of the Rockies GTU, where the top riders did everything possible for the win. In fact, Shane Turpin’s sponsor, Boulder Motor Sports, surprised everyone by bringing one of their former AMA Formula Extreme Ducatis for this round.

2010 marked the 70th Anniversary for the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, and I couldn’t have picked a better year to make it my first visit to Sturgis.
Like everyone else, I was told many stories about the wild and crazy things that go on in the Black Hills in early August. My eight-hour trip on the back of Rip’s bike gave me a lot of time to contemplate what I was in for. As I imagined scenario after scenario, by daydreaming was rudely interrupted by reality somewhere in Wyoming.

Like many people, the choice made for my first motorcycle was dictated by factors other that what I wanted. But I never dreamed of the impact that decision would make on me.
Realities For Children Making New Reality

Memorial Day Weekend will see the 9th Annual realities Ride take place in Fort Collins, Colorado. While some 5000 people attended the event in 2009, surprisingly few of them are aware of what, exactly, the event sponsor, Realities For Children, Inc., is all about.
It’s much more than a charity poker run on Memorial Day weekend.
Eye Of The Beholder--DONNA SORENSON
Submitted by theboss on Mon, 04/12/2010 - 8:13am.Most of us have had a moment when something catches our eye. Just a piece or a part of something that makes us stop for a second and admire, or take a second look to take it in and appreciate it.
That happens to Donna Sorensen sometimes when she looks at motorcycles. When it does, she often turns that moment into a piece of art…art plenty worthy of hanging on the wall in any home, or gallery. Working with pastels (chalk), Sorenson has almost accidentally launched herself into a new career.
40 YEARS OF 2-WHEELERS
Submitted by theboss on Mon, 03/15/2010 - 11:09am.By Tim Anderson
Once upon a time, in a town run by cowboys, two bikers opened a motorcycle shop. They called it 2-Wheelers MC Shop.
It was way back in March of 1970 when Arlin Fatland and his friend Jim Taylor found a building in Northwest Denver they could afford and launched what is now the longest operating independent motorcycle shop in Colorado, and even the Rockies. Let’s face it; there aren’t many bike shops that have been running with the same owner, in the same place, for forty years.

Christmas is a magical time. Snow blankets everything. Twinkling lights are everywhere. The smell of gingerbread, peppermint and spiced wine fills the air. It is a time when much of the world pauses for a peaceful moment to reflect—except for kids.

John Trujillo has been butting heads with Pueblo-area cops for 29 years.
And on October 24, 2009, he’s going to do it again.
Trujillo, or JT, has been playing football against Pueblo –area law enforcement officers in the Pueblo Bikers United Toy Bowl longer than any other player on the squad. This year will be his 30th Toy Bowl.
Emily's Parade Rolling & Growing Strong

Emily’s Parade is more than just a motorcycle ride. It is a cross-cultural community event.
September 26, 2009 will mark the day of the fourth annual Emily’s Parade, a benefit ride from Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado, to Platte Canyon High School in Bailey, Colorado. Both Schools were the scenes of fatal shooting of students.
But the event this year marks much more than the anniversary of the ride or the events that preceded it. It marks a turning point in the evolution of the foundation the ride spawned, and the purpose it serves.
