Mountain Shadow Riders Open House Set

The Mountain Shadow Riders, Colorado Springs’ chapter of Women On Wheels, will be out looking to meet new people May 12, 2012.

The gals who bring you the “Save The Twins!” run each fall will hold their annual spring open house and membership drive at Apex Sports, 327 South Weber Street just near downtown Colorado Springs.

The daylong event is meant to familiarize women riders with the group, and perhaps more importantly, raise a few dollars to help the group put on their hugely successful Breast Cancer Awareness Run October 6th. Last fall, MSR donated over $22,000 to breast cancer charities.

All money raised during the run is donated, so the gals need a little help putting together enough money to try and do it again this year. That means you’ll be able to find Burgers, brats, hot dogs, drinks and more in addition to motorcycles and biker gals at Apex all day.

Things get started at 10am in the front area outside the Cycle Plaza store, and will continue until about 3pm. And, of course, the day is about motorcycles—riding them, looking at them, buying them…everything about them…and having a little fun while helping out, too.
