BUFA Year-End Wrap Up Bash

With the riding season winding down and snow in the forecast, on Monday October 25th, Dickie and Crew at Studebakers in Colorado Springs welcomed Bikers United for America (BUFA) Colorado Springs for an end of year wrap up.

No business was officially discussed as it was a time to relax and enjoy each other’s company.
Barb Manka presented Ron Alexander, Director of BUFA a plaque for not only his extra hard work this year, but for all the years he has dedicated to the mission of BUFA and making the organization a huge success. He thanked and reminded everyone that the success of BUFA was due to the work and support of the member clubs. Even with a down economy the last few years, by and large the success of the runs of the member clubs has remained stable to slightly increasing with some runs experiencing amazing growth.

Barb Manka said, “We are already excited about next year but want to make sure everyone knows we are here all year even when we are not meeting, we are truly a community organization. It has been an extra special year for us due to the continued growth of the runs and the number kids we were able to help, we cannot thank everyone enough.”

With that, the camaraderie and fun continued knowing that it might be until next riding season before some were going to be able to visit again. If you are interesting in joining BUFA, they can be found on Facebook by searching for “Colorado Springs BUFA.”
