Everyone loves a stripper, right?
That thought launched what has become the best backyard party ever—Stripperpalooza.
The 3rd Annual Stripperpalooza party happened July at Mike & Lynn’s place in Denver, and, as expected, it was a rowdy good time. More than 500 people filled the backyard, and left more than 100 bikes parked on the street and front yard while they showed appreciation for of the world’s most valuable professions.
“Who doesn’t love a good stripper?” asked organizer Mike Berglund. “I mean, really…what’s not to like?”
Berglund said Stripperpalooza began three years ago as a kind of dancer reunion.
“It started out as a way for a bunch of the girls who used to work together to get together and party,” he said. “It just took on a life of it’s own. It’s a tribute to dancers, ya know…it’s a party of appreciation. Everyone has a good time, the neighbors join in, it’s just a bitchin’ backyard party.”
Party indeed. Two 250-pound hogs were washed down with 24 kegs of beer.
It was a great time,” Berglund said. “We had no big problems and only had to bounce one guy. It was a great day.”
Of course, there were more than a few girls in the backyard, twirling on the brass pole and gyrating and loosing their clothes for fun. The unofficial championship dancer contest paid out $300to the winner, $200 for second place and $100 for third. The winners were of course selected by the assembled, and rowdy, crowd, which showed much appreciation and enthusiasm for the show.
While the party was slow to start, once it picked up speed, it rolled effortlessly into the night, and the clothes fell off and the dollar bills multiplied.
Yep…Stripperpalooza…the best backyard party ever.
