Motorcycle Museum Moves
Colorado’s home of motorcycling history is on the move.
The Rocky Mountain Motorcycle Museum is packing up and moving across the parking lot this month.
Currently located at 5865 N. Nevada Ave., the Museum will be moving to the mezzanine area of Pikes Peak Harley-Davidson this July. The move will allow for expanded hours of operation and additional display space.
Since 1992, the Rocky Mountain Motorcycle Museum and Hall of Fame has been dedicated to the preservation of motorcycling history, and has been operating as a non-profit entity with an all-volunteer staff and free admission.
“For the past several years, the Museum has been open three days a week,” said
Museum Curator Jerry Manka. “With the move into the Harley dealership, we will be able to be open Tuesday through Saturday, allowing for more flexibility and increased opportunities for the public to see and enjoy the Museum.”
The Museum is home to dozens of classic, antique and vintage motorcycles with manufacturing marquees from the United States, Europe and Asia. The Museum also includes many pieces of important literature, memorabilia, and photographs dating from 1900 through the 1970’s.
Pikes Peak Harley-Davidson is located at 5867 N. Nevada Avenue, right next door to the Museum’s current location, just off Interstate 25 on Colorado Springs’ North end.
The Museum’s Board of Directors wishes to thank the owners of Pikes Peak Harley-Davidson for their generosity in making this opportunity possible.
