Throwin' Attitude
Attitude is everything. Project the right attitude, and it says a lot about you.
In this case, this 2009 Pro Street built for Santos Lamori by DJ at Str8 Customs in Arvada oozes attitude. This bike just plain looks like it needs to be movin’ down the road with a devil-may-care aura all around.
It’s got the goods to back that up, too.
The Prostreet frame with a 35-degree rake with a smooth, standard length, hidden axel front end keeps this pavement prowler low to the asphalt. Mounted inside is an Ultima 127-inch power plant feeding a six-speed right-side Ultima transmission. A BDL three-inch exposed belt primary transfers all that raw power via chain final drive to a 300 series 18-inch rear wheel. That’s putting a lot of power on the pavement, guided by that hidden-axel front end and a 21-inch, 2.125” front wheel.
An Air Ride suspension keeps the ride smooth as glass, and your ass is kept comfy by a custom seat by Bitchn Stitchn.
This monster breathes with a Mikuni 45 Carb set up and a much-altered Martin Brothers two-into-one exhaust.
Both the front and rear wheels are stunning fat-spoke specialties, adding to the tough look of the bike.
The long, pointed swing-arm creates the illusion of the bike being longer than it actually is, and the stretched independent tanks do nothing but add to that illusion.
The green, blue and silver flame paint job accentuates the long lines of the bike, again supporting the long look of the bike, and keeping the badass attitude intact.
“Santos pretty much let me do what I wanted with this bike,” DJ explained. “It’s fair to say it reflects my attitude…the style, the lines, the overall look, right down to the naked girls Scott painted on it. We don’t care if anyone’s offended. It looks the way we want it to look; and we think it looks good.
Tall and tasty Meggen is looking good, too. Long and lean, she’s got lines of her own that are not illusion, but fit in just fine with the lines of the steel she’s perched on. And you don’t have to look too hard to see she’s throwing a little attitude of her own…and we love it.
When she’s not tossing attitude atop a nasty two-wheeler—and making it look that much better, Meggen can be found making other gals look as good as she does at Indie Six Salon.
