Scooter News In Iraq
Scooter News is everywhere—even Iraq! It is our mission to see that bikers everywhere get a copy of the best biker rag in the Rocky Mountains. One of those bikers is our friend Major Nate Sawyer, who is currently serving on a Military Transition Team (MiTT) in the Mosul area. The team is training the Iraqi Army to accomplish this mission on their own. MAJ Sawyer is showing off his October 2009 issue of Scooter News in front of his unit’s Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP). The team was getting ready to go out on a mission when this photograph was made. MAJ Sawyer tells us the team has been out on the road everyday, and things are going well. MAJ Sawyer’s wife, son and motorcycle are all at home in Colorado Springs awaiting his safe return. Scooter News has been sending copies free of charge to US soldiers assigned to an overseas duty station since 2003, and will continue to do so as long as there are motorcycle-loving troops who want our little rag.
